Adding new portraits to MLB 2k10 (reboot)Thanks to hard work by Tywiggins you can now add NEW portraits to MLB 2k10, 65536 of them. We had a dry run for the last few weeks but that was limited to 10,000 portraits and 2K Sports numbers new players past 10,000. Ty worked his magic and found a way to add them. If you installed portraits from this site before today (4-21-10) I'm sorry to say you will need to re-download the portrait files and reinstall them. (It is best to start with a fresh set of portrait files. Use our portrait-decompress program if need). Since Ty found a way to use portraits above 10,000 we are now able to use 2K's numbering system instead of MVP's. The switch in numbering systems is the reason you need to re-download and install the portraits, I know it is a drag now but in the long run it will be a wonderful thing, since we can now do portraits for every player 2k creates,.and their rosters are plug and play (you no longer need to convert the rosters to see the portraits)
All Portraits must be installed using Total Portrait Thingy for MLB 2k10 found HERE and Instructions HERE portrait decompress program can be found HERE and instructions HERE
Re: Adding new portraits to MLB 2k10 (reboot)I would actually do it myself but the problem is that some of us don't have the media credentials to get the best portraits from MLB PressBox. Everything else I've found so far are low resolutions. So if any help you can give us, it would be much appreciated.
Re: Adding new portraits to MLB 2k10 (reboot)I would love to contribute and help in making some of the last teams that haven't been done but I'm not sure how to make the portrait files. Is there a tutorial on how to do this somewhere and would we just use that 1631_portraits_tga zip file?
